Connect DonorAtlas to Perplexity
What you'll need
- A DonorAtlas account.
- A Perplexity Pro, Max, or Enterprise plan. Custom connectors aren't available on the free plan.
- In an organization, an admin adds the connector for everyone. Members can add their own only if the admin has turned on Allow members to add custom connectors.

Start a custom connector
In Perplexity, go to Organization Settings → Connectors → + Custom connector.

Name it and paste the server URL
Name it DonorAtlas and paste the MCP server URL below.

Set up OAuth
In Advanced, choose OAuth and paste the client ID below. Leave the client secret blank, and keep everything else the same. Click Add.

Turn it on
Still in Connectors, search for DonorAtlas, and enable the MCP server by toggling it on.

Add it to your account
Go back home, and click Customize on the left side, go to the Connectors tab (at the top), and search for DonorAtlas. Click on it and click Add connector. This will take you to log in.

Test the connection
Open a new chat and say “search for donors in New York City” or something similar. Your AI model should use DonorAtlas for this.
If something goes wrong
I don't see a Connectors section, or the custom option is missing.
Custom connectors need a Pro, Max, or Enterprise plan. In an organization, the admin also has to allow members to add them, so the simplest fix is to ask your admin to add DonorAtlas for the whole organization.
