Personalized appeals

With AI, you can personalize dozens or hundreds of appeals instead of a handful. Take a donor list, have your AI agent write a custom end-of-year appeal to each person, and put the drafts right in your inbox.

What you'll need

  • An AI agent connected to DonorAtlas.
  • The same agent connected to your email: Gmail, Outlook, or Mailchimp.
  • A DonorAtlas list of the people. The agent can build one from names or a search.
  • A few past appeals you were happy with, so the agent matches your voice. We highly recommend this.

    Send the brief

In a new chat, attach your past appeals and send this.
    Your AI agent
I'm writing personal end-of-year appeals. Attached are a few past appeals of ours, for an example of our voice you should try to match. This year's gifts fund [200 more families in our food-security program]. Your job is to draft an email for this appeal to each person on my DonorAtlas list "[Year-End 2026 Appeals]". For each donor on the list, one at a time, pull their full profile from DonorAtlas (including giving history and wealth), and draft an email in my mail account. Take your time on this. If you're not able to get through all the personalized emails, let me know where you leave off and we can continue in a new session from there. Use our past appeals as examples of our style and voice. Of course, you shouldn't quote amounts they gave elsewhere, their net worth, or other specific information; the DonorAtlas profile is simply meant to guide your understanding of *who* they are as a person, *what* they care about, and *how much* they might be able/willing to donate.
    List lists

    Get person profile×30
    Get contact info×30
    Create draft×30

Done. 30 drafts are in your Drafts folder, one per person on Year-End 2026 Appeals, each in the voice of your past appeals. Nothing was sent.

Three people had no email on file, so their drafts have no recipient yet:

    • Tom Kowalski
    • Elena Ruiz
    • David Park
Replace the highlighted parts with your own details.

    Review and send

Open your Drafts folder. Read each one as the donor will, fix what needs fixing, and send when it sounds like you.

FAQ

It stopped before the end of the list.

It will tell you where it left off. Start a new chat, send the same brief, and add “start from” and that person's name.

Can it send the emails instead of drafting them?

Yes: change “draft an email” to “send an email.” We recommend drafts, so you read each one before it goes out.
